This selfie business is not for sissies. Once you run the gamut of posing and filtering you reach a saturation point with only showing the world you best stuff and still calling it authentic. You start getting real with what’s real, it is confrontational. You’ve got to be able to deal with real. We overuse the word embrace these days. You’ve got to occupy your reality. It’s not enough to give the real you a hug; you’ve got to invite her out on a date and introduce her to your friends (or the entire internet). You’ve got to get really comfortable with the whole world seeing you–really seeing you–for what you are.
And then you’ve got to strike the word imperfection from your personal lexicon.
It’s a practice.
